I'm Jeff Shanes, and I have lived in Portland, Oregon, for nearly 20 years (I love PDX). I've been able to use my camera since 1998 to earn a living, meet countless awesome people, and feel creatively fulfilled. Along the way, I operated a modeling agency for 10 years with my wife, Brittney. Our agency, Reaction Models and Talent was acquired by The Option Agency in early 2025, and I'm very proud of our success and the friends we made.

I'm back to photography full-time with occasional model scouting if I see someone who can be successful in the industry.   I have extensive knowledge about how the modeling industry operates and what it takes to be successful as a model. If you hire me for a photoshoot, I'll do everything I can to create amazing images appropriate for your market and answer any questions you have about the industry. 

Beyond photography, I enjoy travel (27 countries so far), cycling and bikepacking, hiking, and spending time with my wife, my stepson, and our cats Dobby and Bit Bit.
